Neuroscience reflection:

Out of all the activities this one was my favorite. I was able to incorporate my love for learning and music at the same time. I had to reach inside  my left and right brain to portray the link between learning and music. The brain and neural pathways are ignited by sound waves. Studying while learning is a wonderful way to retain information. I think  learning this way has a direct correlation to the Redundancy Principle.

Resume

I already had a resume on file so I thought this was the quickest way submit an assignment. When you gave me the feedback I had to look at my resume differently. it just so happens that I had a resume assignment due for another class……talk about killing two birds with one stone.  The feedback from both classes gave me the motivation to look deeper into my resume and try to see the perception from the employers view. I am happy to say that I think I have a winner with this resume. It is now time to post it.

Segmentation Principle

I chose this Principle as the best learning tool for me.  As an Industrial Technology major I am going to be working with me hands….a lot. The Segmentation Principle decreases the amount of text and shows how images progress to the final product.  The Segmentation Principle can work in a linear or horizontal manner. I prefer the horizontal method. It correlates with the reading pattern. This also a great tool for assembly learning.

Personal Vision and Mission Statements

This activity made me think deep within myself.  I see mission statements all the time when it comes to companies but I never thought about an individual statement for myself.  Upon completion of this assignment I was able to communicate what I have to offer now, what I am doing now, what I will have to offer and what I will be doing. These two statements helped me work out my five year plan.

Optical Education

The Mission Statement activity made me look within the Optical Education made me look within my educational background. Learning how to learn and learning how to teach are difficult task to do simultaneously.  This assignment  helped me to embrace the learning principles so I could teach people about the world of eyeglasses. The principles overlap making the process of putting the information together easier.
